As a Grower Success Data Specialist you will be part of the team that supports growers and channel partners on their journey after joining our program. You will work with a grower success agronomist in collecting all historical and monitoring data from growers and ranchers. Therefore we are looking for someone who reflects our brand and our values; passionate about contributing towards the reduction of global GHG emissions and caring deeply about helping farmers make successful and systematic practice change. This position is open to candidates in Iowa, South Dakota, and Nebraska.

  • Assist dedicated agronomist in collecting all historical and monitoring data from growers and ranchers as required by our program
  • Input and quality check all required data from growers and ranchers

  • Assist with quality control of the soil sampling process, communicate with agronomists and outside sampling vendors.

As an Geospatial Analyst (entry/mid-level) within Agoro Carbon Alliance US, you and your team will be the lynchpin of our mission to bring about meaningful change to sustainable practices in farming around carbon sequestration. You and your team will design, implement and evolve a foundation crucial to our success over time. This foundation will include design, learning, and implementing pipelines that collect and process terabytes of remotely sensed imagery, climate data, and other spatial and non-spatial data. The data will be interpreted, analyzed, and modeled for estimating carbon emission and predicting the effect of these practices on soil health and much more in the US, Brazil and other potential global geographies. In addition, you and your team will build and improve our carbon quantification workflows to scale, grow and evolve as we grow. This is a journey of discovery; there is much to learn but together, with you in our team, we can figure it out. What will you be doing The preferred candidate will support building geodatabases and analyzing spatial and non-spatial data for land cover classification, condition assessments, screening, selection, and stratification of the lands for applications associated to soil carbon business in rangeland and row crop fields. The task may also include effectively delivering and sharing analysis results internally and externally through reports, presentations, and websites. In addition, the candidate may need to develop a data collection plan and/or travel to collect ground truthing data in the fields. Responsibilities: Gather and compile geospatial data and evaluate the quality of data for accuracy and completeness. Collect raster data, including DEM, satellite imagery, and aerial photos, and conduct necessary data pre-processing steps, such as mosaic, pan-sharpening, and geometric and radiometric corrections. Edit, process, and perform spatial data analysis on vector data layers using ArcGIS Pro and other tools. Perform land cover classification by using software eCognition, with an object-oriented approach. Build graphics modes in ArcGIS or use other tools to optimize and speed up the data processing. Perform spatial and/or geostatistical data analysis to derive information associated with soil carbon and management practices over large areas. Create maps, graphics, tables, and web-based products for sharing. Set up tools and create plans for field data collection Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in geography, soil science, rangeland ecology and management, natural resources, and environmental studies or a related field; master’s degree preferred. Strong experience in processing high-resolution, remotely sensed imagery. Minimum of 2 years of work or internship experience in remote sensing and GIS for the entry-level analyst. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in remote sensing and GIS with a graduate degree for the mid-level analyst. Excellent analytical skills to find solutions to meet business needs. Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong intention to learn from the team. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. The Senior Accountant is a vital part of the global Agoro Carbon Alliance Finance and Management Reporting team. The team’s goal is to provide dedicated financial support for the Agoro Carbon Alliance unit and its subsidiaries. The remote position is an integral part of the day-to-day finance operations of Agoro as an independent business, as well as acting as an interface between the Agoro business and Yara’s BU finance team utilizing detailed knowledge of Yara’s current back-office functions and processes. Part of this role will be contributing to establish Agoro’s global Finance function in Brazil from partly being dependent on existing Yara solutions to a stand-alone function rigged to take on this exciting journey. Success for this role will be measured in how the Agoro entities are served with finance function tasks, in particular cash operations, intermediate accounting, tax, reporting, and compliance with local, legal, and requirements. The position will report to the Controller and work closely with the Group Financial Analyst, Controller and CFO. The workload for this global role is expected to increase in direct correlation with the ramp-up growth for Brazil expected within 3-12 months. However, as a global role, this position will also be supporting crucial business operations for the US, allocating time accordingly based on business needs.
