Farmer Brian Miller on Long-Term Farm Regeneration

We caught up with row crop farmer Brian Miller during a recent farm visit. It’s been four years since he enrolled in our carbon program, and the regenerative management changes he has made are starting to take shape, showing both agronomic and environmental benefits.

“It is a family farm. We’re just watching it for the next generation”
– Brian Miller, Indiana Farmer

Brian offers a fresh outlook: that change begins with mindset. It’s a rewiring in how you see things and how you do things. Miller incorporated no-till and cover crops on his acres and has seen a clear uptick in biodiversity. “Everything in nature is interconnected,” Miller says. “I think that’s the part we miss, and nowhere in nature is there monoculture.”

Brian farms together with his son in central eastern Indiana. Due to growing concerns about erosion and soil health, Brian chose to pursue regenerative ag practices to preserve his farm for future generations. He joined the Agoro Carbon program in 2021 after discovering that his operational management and land goals aligned well with our mission to sequester soil carbon.
