By buying carbon credits from Agoro Carbon Alliance, you align with a partner committed to transparency, rigorous standards, and impactful results. Here’s how it works…
Traditional agriculture is responsible for 25% of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and we understand that many farmers face the challenge of balancing productivity with environmental responsibility. Transitioning to sustainable practices can seem daunting, but with Agoro Carbon’s ag-based carbon credit program, farmers and ranchers don’t have to take this journey alone. By joining the program, producers receive the guidance and resources needed to adopt regenerative practices and gain a new source of income, helping them thrive while contributing to a healthier planet. We’re here to support our farmers and ranchers every step of the way as they lead the shift toward more sustainable agriculture.
Farmers and ranchers sign a formal agreement with Agoro Carbon, committing to adopting sustainable agricultural practices. Once these practices are implemented, an independent third-party certifier assesses and verifies the amount of CO2 sequestered. Upon certification, Agoro Carbon compensates the farmers and ranchers based on the verified tonnage of carbon dioxide stored, ensuring a transparent and measurable contribution to climate mitigation efforts.
Following a thorough validation process conducted by an independent auditor, the practices implemented in Agoro Carbon’s projects are confirmed according to the criteria set by the carbon Standard for generating carbon credits. Upon verification of the carbon sequestration achieved, the certifying body issues an official certificate, recognizing the carbon credits generated by the project.
Environmentally committed companies seeking to neutralize the excess GHG emissions their production activities generate, purchase agricultural carbon credits from Agoro Carbon. In doing so, they actively support regenerative and sustainable agricultural practices, contributing to both climate mitigation and the promotion of environmentally responsible farming, biodiversity, and soil health improvement
